Hi Has anyone ever bought anything from The Bradford Exchange? I paid on credit card for one instalment out of 6? I wondered, do you have to pay all the instalments before they ship your item or do you get your item before you have paid it all off? I just wondered TIA

No - re buying. They sell over-priced sentimental *** as "collectibles". If you want to keep it forever, fine, but if you ever want to sell it you'll quickly find out what it's worth - jack. The thrift stores here have plenty & those are donations. Get the picture?
As regards their delivery practice, why not ask THEM?
By chosing to pay by instalments you have commited yourself to a finacial agreement. They will send your goods out soon after they receive your agreement.
From past experience you are now in the busiest week of the year regarding mail order and things do go missing. Personally I have made money from Franklin Mint ..
What I did was have an exclusive area, that I delivered it in, as a courier. People buy it by the boxload

AZ has more or less described it to a 'T'

;-)
Like everywhere else, you buy what you like at the price you're willing to pay. Don't assume they're investments unless you've investigated the "collector" potential first.
The answer to your question is, yes, they will send it after the first payment.
I was once commissioned to write some software for a similar company. They explained that they didn't need to worry about people defaulting on the instalments, as the very first one covered their costs and a small profit. Every additional instalment they received was pure excess profit.
Chessington wasn't asking for comments on the quality of the products.

Eleena, Looking forward to it arriving, have wanted it for ages and my daughter got it last year
So you would reccomend it to me chessington? I was on the verge of ordering it and didn't because of the price.
Question Author
Eleena, My daughter got one last year and it is really a beautiful tree, musical and everything nice, it is expensive I agree but the quality is excellent, but as mine hasn't arrived yet (only ordered yesterday) I think its worth it but I will keep mine away from my one year old grandson lol as he touches everything in sight.
I guess nobody read TheChair's post ... or studiously ignored it.

P. T. Barnum was right. (-;

Its arrived and beautiful, all works, lights and musical function, well worth the money I would say, but I knew what I was buying first as my daughter has it
