For ABers 'mental' disorders?
I'm diagnosed as having some kind of personality disorder (which, frankly, I find insulting but its stuck on my medical records) Buen is diagnosed as having autism, others are registered as bipolar etc.

Should we make allowances when replying to posts as to the mental states of the posters? What I mean is, should we take into consideration the fact that not everyone has the same mental state as ourselves. In the past I have seen Buen receive flak for saying that the dead should be forgotten...immediately. If that is HIS reality who are we to question it?
Why do we assume that everyone should think, or have the same mindset, as ourselves?

(Sorry Chris for using you as the main example of my OP)

I really think you should start listening to the doctors nailit.

// Buen is diagnosed as having autism, others are registered as bipolar etc. //

Mentioning other posters mental health on a public forum is disrespectful, even if those posters have made no secret of their challenges.

I find it intriguing when the flock descends on certain threads, a bit like how vultures can smell out a cadaver, some on here have that uncanny talent ( I call it FaceBook). LOL!

kval -before you start, that mention of FB does not include you ;-P

Theres been plenty of times that others have bought up my issues and Ive never had a problem with it (because I myself have made it public knowledge on this site) so I fail to see how it is disrespectful.
If anyone other than AL can tell me how I have been disrespectful please let me know. Buen has always been upfront about his autism, if I thought for one moment that naming him in this thread was in anyway disrespectful to a valued member of this site then I wouldnt have done it.

That ^^ said in a disrespectful tone by any chance? Especially after I said that I thought there diagnosis was insulting to me.
I make allowances for 'mental' disorders, grumpy tawts, ignorant ***, man u fans...the list is endless. I realise there is not many normal folk like what I is.
Just a small point. I Buen now been diagnosed by a professional? I thought it was a self diagnosis, if so how do you make allowances for a self diagnosis?
I have good days and bad days. Please forgive my bad days.
Today is one of those.

Guess Ill have to leave that for Chris to answer but having had autistic relatives some of his posts would seem to suggest that he is. And that needs to be respected.
