Many of the subcategories are the same.
Will be ever fixed?

If not they may as well go.

I've watched a lot of "Yes, Minister", if that counts.
That's good enough:)
LOL Jim, you're obviously over qualified for politics ;-)))

Stick with Quantum Physics.
Not empty, just loads of womb.
Is it because your link takes us to recent posts whereas the post you are looking for is not recent. You could have done a link to the Answered tab and it would be there. I can see that Recent shouldn't perhaps be the default tab- so do we think there should just be one tab covering all answers? I don't mind either way. But it's not knackered- that's how it was set up
No problem with subcategories but they used to be more obvious. View all categories no longer does. You have to go down clicking on each + to see what's there. The removal of older threads is just a deliberate irritation. Both issues need sorting.
It's a bit of a deterrent if you go to post in a specific sub category and it appears empty. If it's not busy you know there is little hope of getting answers once it's dropped out of latest posts. I know you can get the other posts back up but if you were new it might take time to work it out.
^^^ which is why folk post in CB intentionally, to get it seen..but often posts are being moved .....and unseen..unanswered...it can be disheartening for folks seeking answers and doesn't encourage new users....
What discourages new users is not sub categories but more the constant questions at new new users and the on going questions that are only for certain users.
Just my opinion mind.
My friend Jerome 57 registered, tried and gave up because he found the site too difficult to navigate. He is a very intelligent guy but found it slow and illogical. Shame really because he is incredibly knowledgeable on loads of subjects and could have been a really useful member.
And also what can discourage new members are certain other members accusing them of not being 'new'. Happened to me, but I decided to ride it out ..
