I want to go somewhere on my own for a change. I`m tired of the beach holidays with copious amounts of cocktails. I`m thinking India for a spa/holistic holiday. End of Feb into March. Not Europe or the US. Long haul. Any ideas?

I am more than impressed .. half an hour ago you were devoid of ideas as to which corner of the globe you may visit and out of the blue comes 'Ananda'. Are you telling me that wasn't already in the back of your mind .. trust me I wont tell anyone ! Anyhow I have checked and they do have vacancies during the first week in February. Single occupancy in the twin room comes...

Costa Rica.
Goa is supposed to be lovely with lots of Holistic retreats! I have been to Goa myself but have travelled around India a lot as a solo female traveler, it is a bit Marmite but I loved it you just need to keep a stiff jaw, sunglasses that don’t make eye contact and a steady pace from the hawkers! But never miss on the chance for a chat with the locals, it makes your journey worthwhile. X
Have 2 tanning salons with in walking distance. I just use the sun.
Sorry I have *Not been Goa myself (but have heard many good things)

https://www.anandaspa.com/ I want to stay here but the price in the UK is higher than the price in India.
If it's what you want pay the price..... or go to India and book it from there.
Call,them direct.
I’m thinking of going to The Gambia but purely to make like a lizard and vetted some winter sun! I am bored with the Canary Islands so I to fancy a change, single supplements are a total rip off though! Especially if you travel all inclusive!!! That really annoys me!
Zacs, she would be calling them direct ... wouldn't she?
I agree if you can get to India arrivals lounge and book it from there, I bet they give even collect you from the airport. I honestly have done this lots of times and it’s been great. It takes some b*lls but is very liberating in its own way!

Anyhow I have checked and they do have vacancies during the first week in February. Single occupancy in the twin room comes with a surcharge and for just a tad over £4900 the room is yours for 7 days.
If you find a friend and split it ... it's not even £2,500 each. Obviously flights and transfers will be extra.
India is good ! All the comforts of home at a small fraction of the price. Been there myself. 5 days Bed , Breakfast and evening meal for £20 . Cheaper than staying home!
^ & Yes the food was good and more than you could eat.
I lived for 3 years in Zambia , it has the Luanga Valley Game Park. Little known, but one of the best in the World. You can go on a 'Walking Safari' . As the name says, you walk. No vehicles to scare the animals. You can book tickets from the UK. I spent 5 days there, living in a tent at night.
Go and return before March 29th.
Penang, Malaysia. Fab hotels & beach @ Bukit Timah, street market, town shopping, street foods, temples, wild life exotic plants. Boat rides to nearby islands....can't give link on this new gizmo
Or try a cruise ship holiday.
