More money than sense.
Magic beans got me into a lot of trouble when I was a lad. I sold the cow for some but when I got them home I found it was only a tin of Heinz with the label washed off.

reminds me of when we were kids my mum bought a job lot of tins with no labels from the coop! meal times were fun for a while.
Fascinating concept for those who are interested, thank you.
I guess people may be seeing this as an "Investment" which would explain why they are using their cryptocurrency

Maybe in a couple of years when people are paying £10000's to be inside this VR world the land they have bought would be worth much more, so they may sell it on
Some may, yes but for many it's a dream,a hobby - there may be some who are disillusioned but many will know what they are about.
There was similar thing some years ago with an online VR land where people could buy and sell items.
At least one marriage broke up because a woman saw her husband's avatar have sex with someone else. Can't remember what it was called now. Don't know if it's still going.

I did join up for a while, but I was just wandering around wondering what I was doing.
Im sell them my very large house in central London, to sweeten the deal I'll throw in a large clock.
I'm looking to retire somewhere remote eventually.
Might buy a piece of bewilderness.
Been watching this for a while(my son told me to take a look). The "virtual" land being "sold" does not appear to be the focus of the punters, but the value of the ERC20 token called MANA, that is needed to buy the virtual land certainly is. They are hoping that the value( in real terms) will rise rather like the Bitcoin value did.
Anyone old enough to remember the South Sea Bubble?

What a load of Berks! :-)
I know someone who owns a lot of Berks(hire)
I still have a load of Tulip Bulbs Judge. (*_^)

Only those of us who are 300 years old.
Yes, JD, I was aware when it happened. I was being flippant. But people indulging in it did not have the luxury of the knowledge of financial matters that the participants of this ridiculous scheme have (or at least should have). Virtual land paid for with real money must be the stuff of dreams for the promoters.

If it is not in front of me with a clearly defined price then I'm not playing, years of experience gone into that.
