If you send someone a book as a present directly from Amazon, can the recipient see who has paid for it please?

I have moved this thread into the category "Shopping".
it seems rather obviously against the data laws if the gier didnt want it known

I actually would hope they can see from whom it came, otherwise I'll have to write a letter of explanation
you can add a message if it is marked as a gift..

Thanks, but it has been already ordered (a book) and it wasn't marked as a gift, so I wonder if they will know it is from me.
No, the recipient won't be able to see who has paid for the Book.
I got a lovely bottle of gin from a friend through Amazon...I know who sent it (I think you would want to know) but I have no idea how much it cost.
