Let's hope this is consensual, rather than "Get your kit off".

can still be consensual innit
get your kit off as a starter I mean
Just May getting her final orders before the EU sink the plan anyway, saving Westminster the bother.
Is this the correct link to the headline?
A divorce, even an amicable one, seems to me to have something sad about it.
Didn’t the EU agree the plan?
Why would they sink it?
A few sticking points, still: namely, Gibraltar, fishing, and future trade relationships.
Jim, has the Irish border problem been resolved then?
Temporarily, because that's what the backstop achieves if nothing else materialises.

Under the current deal, nothing really changes during the transition, the UK still being subject to the same rules.
ichkeria // Didn’t the EU agree the plan? //

Agree it? They wrote it.
It would achieve a lot more than just that It would that would see the UK, as a whole, remaining aligned with the CU until the EU says we can go. Effectively remaining in the EU without legitimate route out unless we are freed by our EU masters. As such it is one major part of the draft plan that can not be accepted, and would be a betrayal of the UK. Plus, why would the EU want to negotiate further if the inevitable default position, if they do nothing, is we stay put ? No incentive for them at all to do anything.
The EU wrote it but the individual members have a veto, if I understand it correctly.
Then we’re saved anyway!
No deal because of a veto means no exit, realistically
That's the most unrealistic statement I've seen for a long time.
Why does no deal mean no exit?
I think if we were faced with having to crash out of the EU just because France insisted on fishing in our waters or because Spain wanted Gibraltar exckudrd ffok a trade deal, then it might raise a few europhobic hackles? No?
If we end up trading on WTO terms it means that any country in the world could import its goods at the same next-to-zero tariffs as those between say the U.K. and Ireland were the border there to stay the same as now. You don’t need to be Einstein or Nostradamus to see how that would end ...
Realistically there will be no veto however.
