Commons vote tonight - a budget amendment was defeated by the DUP abstaining. This apparently was in warning that hte DUP dont like her agreement and will bring down the government.

various questions -
does this mean - as AOG would ask - that we will be murdered in our beds tonight by the Fenians? - sorry the Fenian hordes invading from Ireland ?

that the govt will fall sometime soon and we will have a general election ?

Corbyn will soon be our PM ?

nothing - more of the same chaos ....?

That's the point of this upcoming ruling to resolve. I think most people have suggested that there is "no going back", but it's been in most people's interests to say so. Remainers, before the referendum at least, would argue "no going back" almost as a threat to discourage people from jumping; Brexiteers now would like the idea of "no going back" as a trap to stop any discussion of remaining after all. Nowadays, of course, some Remainers are hopeful that after all Article 50 notification can be withdrawn -- and I *still* wouldn't take that opinion seriously from people who clearly want it to be whether it is or not.

Hence the legal fuss.
Jim supposing that it is deemed revocable, how will that be decided?
Not sure I'd know how to answer that, I'm afraid, danny.

I*t will be interesting to see the judgement but usually the judges wont give a what-if opinion

Parliament can tinker with most things as we dont have entrenched legislation.

This came up in 1973 on entry to the market (!!!) and Denning J said that altho parliament was supreme etc there were things which were pretty damn irrevocable. Supposing parliament repealed the Independence of India Act 1947 would India go back to being the Indian Empire?

also in the pre anthony blunt days - honours were held to be irrevocable ....

we will have to wait and see
It seems that BINO is the most likely outcome.
Extending Article 50 is now inevitable, it just goes on and on.
