As above, not noticed it much before, but sort of draining/chuckling sort of noises.
Even when the timer is off, in fact even when I turn the boiler off.
Is this normal please?

Thanks Eleena, I can certainly make a start by bleeding the rads myself, see if that helps :)
Maybe a bit of build up in the pipes to make the running of water more apparent? Worst case scenario look into getting a 'power flush'.

What is a power flush please, and is it an expensive job ?

Thank you OG.
When was the last time your boiler was serviced? If over a year maybe start there?
What type of boiler is it?
i'd get it serviced just had ours done £70
Question Author
I have it done every year, I believe it's 5/6 years old now. Will check when next service is due.
It's Worcester Bosch MT10, just turned it off cos it's hissing.
Off to phone engineer.
is this the only symptom? it could be blockages in the system causing the noise and like suggested could need a power flush to alleviate.
However there is usually more than one symptom to suggest a power flush is needed. boiler cutting out, Tepid Water. cold spots on radiator. see more here http://www.expertpowerflush.co.uk
