Sorry to mention the C word, but do you have anyone where you have no idea what to get for them? I am reeling at the prospect of getting my partner something (because he's weird) and his birthday is almost upon me as well so there is that.
He has got me really sweet, cool gifts in the past and always seems to hit the spot with them. I want something unusual, unique and really nice and that will remain forever, but not any sort of 'experience day'. I thought jewellery but that seems a bit like I haven't thought. It can be funny, weird, romantic, anything really but it needs to be reasonably unique. We are unlikely to be spending Christmas together, so nothing I can surprise assemble either or I had thought of a blanket fort (he likes those) and a spoil him day. I don't want to end up buying something generic and naff.
Thanks in advance x

What about both your DNA profile put on to canvas

Kval, it may be too late for now but there is a bloke on Facebook called A Pretty Penny who cuts jewellery out of coins. His work is amazing, its all hand done and he can source a variety of coins. He does the pairs of pendants in many designs but loads of other stuff too. He does sell from stock so you may find something but bespoke things take longer.

Loving that DNA profile art Rocky, might do that actually, that really appeals to me and the coin thing sounds lovely Woof. I cant access my Facebook anymore but I could make a chuck away account and have a look x
Bruichladdich did them prices vary considerably Ardnahoe are doing them at the moment but they are very expensive and there is a new distillery in NI that does them too
would he fancy being a laird?

You could get a teddy bear or cushion made from some of your (old) clothes.

I'll check those out RR, and yeah he'd be all over the Laird thing. He's of Scots and Irish descent, (well he thought he was). I did his family tree for him, he's about a Irish as Lenin, his ancestors were English (and Scots) and he came over to Ireland with Cromwell and battered us about a bit. My Dad nearly choked. lol
my laird link shows how to buy online & you would become Lady Kval thru marriage.

That'd be funny and really *** off my virtually communist Dad Tambo :)

The DNA test would be nice in conjunction with the DNA art SJ, that might be quite a good combo :) x
I did the DNA test. It's fun to look at the results which link up with other people who share some of your DNA.
Kval, be quick for the DNA thingy, i just had a look and it said 6-8 weeks so probably not enough time for xmas sadly.

Thanks for all the suggestions- some really top ideas there. I'm going to go through all of them in depth and try to make a decision. There is such a lot there he'd like that I couldn't give a Best Answer because they were all so good, but thank you very much some things I'd certainly never have though of :) x
