I find when I am very near my TV possibly cleaning etc I hear the TV clearly - the speaker is at the back of TV

Is there anything I can buy to plug into TV and allow me to hear on the other side of room. Thanks

Sound bar?
Question Author
when I said music - I really meant sound from TV. I honestly don't know much about them.

Do they plug into back of TV then you can put speaker for me behind the settee. And are they not corded etc.

Sorry Jenny I have to go out to collect my grandaughter.
Some sounbars have to directly plugged in, but I think some are wireless.

I can thoroughly recommend getting a soundbar. You are right, flat screen TVs often have speakers on the back. A soundbar throws the sound forward, and often come with a single woofer speaker for added bass.
Take details of your TV and go and have a chat at Curry's PC World or John Lewis.
....however, some inexpensive soundbars can be no improvement at all. When Which? last tested soundbars, there were some that they rated "Don't Buy" because their sound quality was very poor.

thanks Hopkirk - could you give me a link. Now my TV is old now - maybe 7 years old so can any old sound bar do.
Question Author
oh I answered before seeing other posts. yes that would be a good idea to talk to somebody in Currys
beware they will fob you off with the most expensive one and when you tell them your tv is old ... watch out you'll get the hard sell for a new £1000 job !
Personally....I wouldn't ask anybody in Currys how many pins there are on a three-pin plug....
