Just listened to Jezza's response to the PM, he's bang on, this is a bungled and botched deal. We have screwed it right up. From a position where we should have had a good hand to play to this disaster. As much as I hate COB Labour and all they stand for, it seems we must rely on them to stop this disaster making it through the house and ensuring we leave with no deal.

I mean, not to be funny, but of course my opinion of the EU is higher than yours. Why is that even a question?
How did we manage when the whole of Europe was foreign occupied territory?
And the only trade we did with them then went off with a very loud bang.
we almost didn't make it, if you are alluding to the war.
if it hadn't been for the Americans we would have begun to starve to death.
"Theresa May has announced that the Cabinet has passed a draft agreement for Brexit."

So brexit is brexit?
"The Prime Minister told press: "The draft withdrawal agreement was the best that could have been negotiated.""

So in fact, it'd be best to call it off? Mugs. The lot of em
NJ // It depends how the EU treats our renewed supplication. If they deem we have left and reapply as anew member it will mean both of those things. New members of the EU have no opt out from the euro or Schengen. //

Yes. So even if we have another referendum and vote to remain/go back, we'll have to spend another two years negotiating the 'deal' to get back in, and then parliament will have to approve that deal which they probably won't, so there'll be another referendum to decide if we go back in on those terms, which will probably result in a 'no' and so on ad infinitum.
The deal has been accepted

Obviously you have never heard of 'Dig for Victory', the only food that I can remember coming from the USA was Dried Eggs, if a convoy got sunk by the U Boats then we went short but we managed.
oops maybe not quite yet

Vote to go back? We have not left yet.
AOG -- we were heavily reliant on the convoys from the US, and there's no point pretending otherwise. "Dig for Victory" made a difference, not least to morale, but would never have been enough on its own.
at that time we were importing 70percent of our food, dig for victory was a morale booster, but if it hadn't been for the convoys that did get through and this included the Americans we would have starved.
It seems this deal does not satisfy anyone, remainers or leavers. I doubt the 17.4 million who voted to leave would accept this deal as fulfilling what they voted for.
So we are going to leave, and all the people who voted for it are unhappy and all those who voted against it are equally unhappy.
What a tragedy for our country, that it has come to this. We are used to our politicians letting us down, but they have done, spectacularly this time.
yes they have, even Corbyn was making sense in the house last night, which comes as something of a shock to me.
For those people who are saying they are prepared to vote Corbyn, please tell me you've considered that:

(a) it's corbyn for christ's sake - he's a political pygmy and not very bright.
(b) Mad John Mcdonnel (a man too left wing for Livingstone's GLC days) will be the chancellor.
(c) The racist, and as thick as a brick Abbott, will be Home Secretary.

Anybody who thinks Labour is a viable alternative is, frankly, hard of thinking.
Again - "What about democracy?"
Do you trust Tusk, Juncker, Barnier, Pierre the onion seller?
Sorry about this. Capitals. Somebody please answer?

"WHAT ABOUT DEMOCRACY?"
