I was on the bus and someone said emo music sucked. Everyone but me and my friend agreed with him. They avoided us the rest of the day.

Music is immensely personal, and being passionate about defending what you like is part of the appeal.

As long as you don't succumb to the garbage nonsense that is 'guilty pleasures' - what's that about?

If you like something, why would you feel guilty about it, unless you are too wrapped up in the opinions of others.

When I was a teenager, being ignored for your musical taste was like a badge of honour - to be word proudly.

I love it! Everyone at school is surprised that I listen to that type of music because of my personality. I'm really bouncy and happy and i love bright colours.
