Well, we didn't get any coverage on the beeb, despite being quite near the front of the parade. We were E17, but the coverage jumps from E12 to E21. Ah well, at least we were there to remember. However....when we got back to Horseguards, our little unit of members finished the parade right next to Dan Snow, and we were able to watch him interviewing all those wonderful people. For all those who have recorded it, look again at about 2hrs 30 mins in, and you will see Dan Snow interviewing a Gurkha who has prosthetic legs. What a tribute to fortitude, eh? Now. Look in the background and see the guy scoffing a bacon sandwich. Tis me! My family won 't let me live it down. It's memorable all right!

well done for being there, and yes i did see the interview with Dan Snow and the Gurkha, though i didn't see you scoffing away, lol...
it was a very poignant day all round. I have recorded the Remembrance concert on saturday so will watch that later on.
I'm so pleased you attended , and enjoyed a bacon butty.
i can't make it down there any longer, my legs won't hold me up but i watched all the coverage from early on, it was solemn, poignant, and a remarkable tribute to the fallen and their loved ones.
With the cap?

What a wonderful moment of TV stardom :P
Andy Warhol eat your heart out! Glad you had a lovely day Clarion x
did you hear the Gurkha say even with no legs he is going to climb Mount Everest next year, that would be an amazing achievement.
Well as long as you get your 5 minutes of fame.

Emmie, I still can't open it. It's just a blank page. The bacon sandwich was yummy. Only £2! Not bad for Central London.
as long as you had a good day, that was all that mattered.
If you are the one in the cap Clarion, you look a miserable, cantankerous old ***......just like me...;-)
strange that you can't see your picture.
Clarion....click on zoom on the left hand side. It'll bring the image up.

Thanks ummm. I managed it, at last! The bacon sandwich was yummy! But the parade was very memorable. Great to see those people being interviewed by Dan Snow. It was just slightly fortuitous that we ended our march right next to him.
i thought that parades like this are supposed to be a personal issue of respect and not a " look at me aren't i important" ego trip. how i wish that the millions that gave their lives were able to live full fulfilled lives!
