I had an email from Scottish Power saying they were upping my direct debit from £115 to £130 a month. I looked at my bills and I am always in credit.
So I went on the compare the market.
They came up with a Scottish Power that was £109 per month. I rang SP and told them I was shopping around with a view to move, but what about this other tariff I had found. Very helpful lady looked into it. Said she could reduce the payment on my current tariff to £105 per month.
As I said well worth doing.

I looked at the other tarrif, I reworked my current bill using the figures quoted on the new tarrif. They quoted I could save £274 per year, my bill came out £12 dearer.
How do they come up with these figures?
