We are having our road resurfaced and May have to instal a dropped curb.
Anyone know approximately how much it would cost?
We have used the existing curb for over thirty five years as it is very low, about the same as a dropped curb.

If your existing arrangement is *not* an official dropped kerb, you'll need Planning Consent to have it installed and then the Highways Department will charge you directly for the works.

Possibly somewhere between £600-£700.

It is illegal to drive over a kerb which has not been officially lowered by the council. It is rarely, if ever, enforced.
