Me and the lads are thinking about going away for a weekend boozing. Thing is we don't know exactly where we want to go! Probably Amsterdam or Brussels or something? We'd probably go from Friday afternoon/night and comeback on the Sunday night/Monday morning. We live near Hull so a ferry from there would be superb, can anyone recommend an excellent booze cruise experience? Overall we are hoping to get an overnight stay on the friday night on the ferry, full day in our chosen destination getting merry, staying the saturday night in a hotel (not to expensive!) and spend the sunday getting merry again and hopefully getting an overnight trip on a ferry back! Any help would be top notch!

I can reccomend the DFDS ferries from Harwich.Destinations include Hamburg,Amsterdam,Denmark.Usually 3 nights on ferry and 1 to 2 days at destination. Also the Portsmouth/Bilboa ferry is quite good, also 3 nights.
The Harwich/Hamburg one is brilliant - I've done this on about half a dozen occasions with my rugby team. Hamburg is excellent, it's got the Reeperbahn (not to be missed as a, ahem, tourist attraction - the red light district is better than Amsterdam), fantastic bars and clubs, culture, and if you go at the right time of year, it has the Dom, a big fun fair. Excellent. You actually stay on the boat, which is a 5 minute cab fair form the docks to the Reeperbahn, or a twenty minute walk. Be warned, depending on the time of year, it can be bitterly cold.
