DT, Is it that he's a leave voter but his beard wants to leave?

Shoehorned it in there quite nicely i thought.
Dont really have much of an opinion of him apart from the fact he has done very well for himself so on that point well done that man.
I admire the fact that he worked his way up from the bottom. So many of the contestants on The Apprentice are so full of themselves and have inflated opinions of how good they are. He has shown tenacity and the fact that hard work has its rewards.

hard work is one thing but seeing him on the One Show he came across as bloody hard work. And they had to call him Lord sugar, i think he's a nob.
Yes, a rich and successful nob.
he might be, but i stand by what i say..
Before he was ennobled, I liked it when the apprentice contestants addressed him as . . ."Sralan!"
Fair enough Emmie.
Unimpressed with his achievements, but saying that, he's done ok for himself.
I owned several Amstrad computers and word processors. Good at the time. An innovator and shrewd business man. I like blunt people I'm one myself, gets me into no end of trouble.
Lol. Join the club. :-)
Problem is some people just can't cope with Alpha males these days as most have been virtually castrated by the PC snowflake brigade. He had come up from nothing, unlike the privileged hooray henrys and Henriettas he has to deal with on the show. I hope he is like he is on the show in real life. We would get on like a house on fire I would have loved to be given the opportunity to work for/with him. Iv'e worked with guys like him in the past and they take no prisoners. If you can give as good as you get you're ok, they don't like yes men & women and Lord Sugar can see right through those contestants.
He's not an Alpha male, lol, he's just a cocky little market trader who did alright flogging things- not exactly genius, it's the oldest form of commerce and takes very little skill but plenty of tenacity, in the same mould as Bernie Ecclestone and a good few others.
I think we have to be wary of judging anyone who has a 'public' persona, and anyone in the pubic eye develops one pretty quickly.

I think we can take it as read that anyone who builds a business empire from scratch in the way that Messrs. Branson and Sugar have done are not likely to be shrinking violets, nor are they likely to suffer fools gladly.

I have great admiration for both for their success built on their own acumen and energy - and persoanlly, I am quite happy to believe that, like any famous person, they are very different away from the public eye.

An open ended question? A bit risky as it turned out .
Not really. Despite his politics shown on the other thread I still do not like his personality but am not envious of his successful entrepreneurial endeavours.
Lord Sugar has been in the right place selling the right products at the right time. This takes skill and much as good fortune. I watched him on Wednesday and he did not come over as a horrendous little man. Considering what he puts up with on that programme I think he's quite restrained.
