I’ve manage to germinate some lavender seeds in pots on the window bottom - I’ve just looked and there is an invasion (well 3 or 4) of fungi
I hope it won’t infect the lavender
Am I over watering and should I try watering the bottom rather than the top?

seem to think that you're sowing too early.

This US gardener planted them on January 3rd this year. The video might give you few hints.

(The info under the video on Youtube says the following: "First of all you want to chill your lavender seeds before you even try to plant the seeds. Lavender seeds need light to germinate so you want to press them onto the soil surface. Use a squirt bottle to keep the seeds moist while they are germinating under the lights).

She added this later in the month:

This US guy also planted in early January:

Earlier in the year, not trying to germinate lavender but a variety of other seeds, I got a white cotton-wool type fungi over all of them. I assumed it was because I'd kept them under the transparent lid that came with the propagator. Lost the lot eventually; might have achieved more but things cropped up and they had to be neglected :-(

Planted 2 lavender plants in the back garden, bought from the local garden centre and looking well, last year. Neither bothered to survive until this year :-(

No these are very small mushroom type things - I think I will water once a week from the bottom up - see how that goes
