Why does it feel as if you’ve wet yourself when you have contrast dye injected for a CT scan? A most odd feeling.

Never felt that I wet myself (I've had 2 CT scans), but certainly felt as if I needed to pee. Most disconcerting!

Did you have the contrast dye injected goofy? That’s the stuff which makes you have the odd feeling.
Yes, ethandron, I know exactly what you mean, but I have no idea why. Unfortunately, as I discovered, I am also allergic to the contrast dye (I think it's iodine) and spent the week after the CT scan on steroids and antihistamine till the full body rash disappeared. Not a lot of fun, and also makes me wonder what else I might be allergic to (seaweed? - not that it's on my regular menu)
Had something injected. I think it was the contrast dye.
