Help Needed With Computer

Hello
I have two questions about techy computer things.
• I recently moved browser from Firefox to Chrome. I have found that I can’t post AB questions on Chrome, as soon as I click on the question title box the question box moves over to the right-hand side of the screen and won’t let me type in it. Clicking on the question box first also causes this to happen. I have to post questions on Firefox or on one of my other computers.

• When I was using Firefox I was able to delete titles for previous questions in AB. I would highlight them and hit delete. This doesn’t work on Chrome. I have tried deleting my history/cache etc but the list of titles or search entries are all still there. How do I get rid of them?

Thanks for any help that can help me with these minor irritants.

In my experience Chrome is one of the most complained about browsers online whereas I never experience any particular issues with Firefox so may I ask why you wish to change.

The main problem is that it kept crashing. There were a few other small issues but nothing serious.
I like chrome and I use it on my mac. I use
IE at work.

Did you try backing up your full profile and then deleting Firefox and reloading it again and restoring the profile.

Hope you get a good techie answer wolf, it must be something specific to your computer as loads of us use Chrome without any issue.

I use Chrome and never have this particular problem, but AB does seem to crash a lot on Chrome- I get a message saying it's something to do with Shockwave or with something which helps with unwanted ads/popups.

Sorry but I don't understand what you mean by deleting titles for previous questions in AB. Do you mean deleting titles or something within AB or do you just mean the history of pages VISITED in your browser?

When I use the search box on AB it's cluttered up by all the previous things I searched for. I want to erase all these searches. It's the same if I ask a Question (when I was able to) all the previous titles come up. I want to erase them.

The problems only happen in Chrome.

Thanks. No i don't get that. Searches don't stay in my AB search box. The nearest problem I do get is if I type an answer and then the thread is removed while I'm typing, when i next click to answer a question the previous answer is carried forward into the answer box

Seems odd thatc clearing the browsing history doesn't solve it.

I get that when I click on 'search' a drop down of earlier search words - I simply ignore them and type my new search.

Must be something to do with settings then as my AB search box is always empty when I click on it

Funnily enough whenever I go to the AB search box the only suggestion that comes up is Mollykins. It's been like that for as long as I can remember and I don't recall ever looking for her. I've searched for lots of things/people but it never remembers, only Mollykins.

It's just annoying, when I clear the browser history it seems to do nothing.

I will find something else to bug me tomorrow.
