Don't believe you, it always rains in Manchester (lol).
Not true! London has a higher average rainfall than Manchester.
I was only joking, hence the lol ....
I know. I'm just, like, sayin'. Yer know.
Howling an absolute gale here in Greater London. I was out delivering catalogues today and was really struggling to walk in it.
Wind is still getting stronger, London and south east were only getting the fringes of the storm system so imagine what the west are getting.
It went very dark about 5pm and then the rain started blattering the windows; that seems to have eased off for the present but who knows what it'll be like for the remainder of the evening?
No rain/storm here on the outskirts of Clacton (yet!)
Just after I hit 'submit' the rain started up again.
Mrs JtH is going to be soaked when she comes in from work. :o/
The wind is vile here in Northants.......didn't stop Dave laughing when he handed a huge return parcel to the Hermes man and watched him trying his best to get to his car with one step forwards and four sideways eventually arriving in next door's garden......
And me in the back garden chasing cushions, pots and a bloody great metal sheep that was having fun rolling like a tumbleweed..... :-(
Just walked across the road from this estaminet I am in to buy some chicken and although quite breezy the wind is surprisngly warm and I was in shirt sleeves. Haven’t been blown out of Surrey County yet.
I'm just in from Oxford - felt wonderful to be alive although I was nearly bowled over - quite warm strong Westerly wind.
Blowing a bit here, Norfolk, great for washing! I used to sneer at my mother who, when it was windy, always said It's a good day to strip the beds, and guess what I now do??? OH has just refixed the trellis to the wall from the last time but as there's nothing attached it'll stay hopefully.
Power been off since 3pm just back on
Still blowing a (warm) gale here at SD Towers - got potential buyers looking round tomorrow - hope there is still a roof to show them ...
I know it's warm but I have been freezing all day, on sofa, duvet, hot waterbottle
