Nice one, Eleena. Haven't heard that one for a few years.

Love Gilbert O'Sullivan.

Alone Again Naturally was one of my favorites (even though it is a very sad song).

When he sings the part about how his mother felt when his father died still brings a lump to my throat.

I'm sad for all those torn apart families tony, so called 'adults' that haven't a clue.
Or his upbeat song Matrimony

I like him Guilbert.

They don't write 'em like this anymore .............

Night all!
G'night, Eleena.
There are a number of perceived MOR singers who write really really well in terms of the atmosphere their lyrics can create.

GO is certainly one - as evidenced here, and I would like to point out Leo Sayer as a writer of rare ability.

If you check out the lyrics to Moonlighting, it paints a vivid picture of an elopement, and each couplet creates its own little vision in a way that legends like Chuck Berry are rightly lauded for, but writers like Leo and Gilbert are ignored, or more likely, not listened to closely enough.

I also have a place in my Top Ten for The Show Must Go On - the arrangement, his jaunty and then vulnerable delivery, it's an all-round classic piece of pop.
Hiya andy. I was never really a fan of Leo Sayers, although I did quite like this one.
