Teen Smows Friend Has Been Killed In Car Crash

His very good friend was driving home to see his girlfriend when he was involved in a head on collision with another car and died at the scene. He was only 21. Teen Smow is in bits. Christ life can be cruel.

How awful. All you can do is be there to support your son. My daughters friend died while at university, it is a tragedy that affects so many people.

They were literally laughing and joking about nonsense and then his friend said he was going to see his girlfriend after work. That was the last time he saw him alive. Feel helpless.

I just don’t know what to say to him. He keeps saying it could have been him etc etc......

Awful. My teen daughters BF died in a car crash. It's not just the death of someone it's seeing someone you love grieving and in horrible pain :-(

Too young to cope very well. They can cope with someone dying of natural causes but when it's sudden like that the grief is different.

She still talks about him now and it was 10 years ago.

Awwwww. He just keeps comparing himself - what he’s looking forward to doing, where he is, how his friend had all that too......

He’s still in complete shock. His friend worked with him so he was with him every day. The whole office is still in disbelief.

It's when the shock wears off. How's his dad being?

Terrible shock at that age to be reminded so brutally of the fragility of life, just be there and offer support when needed - difficult time.

It's so hard when someone your own age dies. Up til then you have a feeling of immunity from things like death. It only happens to old people. All you can do is let him talk if he wants to and see how things play out. I lost classmates at 13,16 and 18 it shakes your whole world at that age because your friends are everything.
