Well after 4 years of perusing the above - I have finally done it today. Knocked out for over an hour and he drilled and left implants.

8 stitches/sutures then my oul dentures back in. The sutures are dissovable (sp) still a tad drowsy. Go back next week for him to make sure gums are healing.

Gums have to heal until next February. I know it is long but if I waited 4 years I can wait for 5 months.

Will be so glad to have those dentures/brandyballs out of my mouth. Still numbed up and my eyes are watering and a little closed but they have given me antibiotics, steroids and painkillers and mouthwash. Will hopefully improve every day. That's start of my journey.

Yay - congrats on getting it done :)

As you may (or may not) remember, I posted on your other questions about implants - it's just over a year since mine were finished.
I'm so happy for you - you've prob got the worst bit over with. Just the swelling to deal with for a few days, then you'll be counting down to next Feb.
//// as soon as they are at home - out they come ////

Now why does that seem familiar - I confess, it does happen - PMSL.
Well done jj, you must be very pleased they are in.
Well done.
