American Beauty

Maybe Im weird, the odd man out, But I seriously think that American Beauty, (1999, Kevin Spacey) was amoung the greatest movies, if not the greatest movie, ever made. Just loved everything about the movie.
My Question is, are there any like minded indivisuals around who share my view about this classic?

I'd put in my top 5 for certain. And I find it inspiring every time that I watch it.

I wouldn't put it in my top 5, but it's certainly very good and I like the way it constantly probes the different ideas we have about the concept of beauty. All the lead performances are terrific too.

i didnt go a lot on it but youre not 'wierd' or 'the odd man out' just because its your fave film......we are all individuals after all !

I adored it, mainly because as a viewer, you form an impression about every main character, and by the end of the film, you realise that you have totally wrong about every single one of them.

I didn't get it. Wouldn't put it in my top 5. Enjoyed the son and his videoing of the plastic bag, but the rest of it left me cold. Maybe I need to watch it again!

it is certainly a very good movie but its not really one of those films you would watch again but i have still got to say my favoirite film is the godfather
