Has, after approximately twenty years, decided to remove GST (VAT in your lingo) on tampons and other ladies hygiene products.

Even though condoms and Viagra have never been subject to the 10% tax as daily necessities don't attract this tax I think they have finally made a good move.

This is good news. However, condoms protect both men and woman. They're not just pregnancy deterrents, they're also hygienic for both parties. Without condoms there would be more finances spent on medical equipment.. they save the government money in the long run. A bit of latex is cheaper than treating someone with a ailment.
