I have an android tablet on a EE 4g PAYG sim - it is a micro sim card.
Because I am fed up with android and want to go back to Windows like my laptop and have been offered a good quality Windows 10 Tablet which says it takes 3g. The sim slot is the same ie micro slot so...……...will I just be able to just take my 4g simcard out of the android tablet and put it in the Windows Tablet. I am thinking they must be interchangeable up/down as when I use my 4g tablet in Greece it sometimes only connects to 3g I am told locally.

Thanks everyone

Yes, with some tinkering with settings

Sometimes it ‘just works’
Just be aware that 3G is a LOT slower than 4G but your SIM card will work just fine.
Make sure that the apps you must have are available in Windows.

What do you mean tinker with settings? Thought you just put in the sim card spath…...
Yes - thank you HC4361. All the things I need are on my Windows laptop - just use the tablet for hols etc.

With some devices / sims you have to play around with ‘network settings’

Hello HC4361 and anyone else - this is further to my previous question in a way.
As I am so used to Windows 10 on my laptop for yars and finding great difficulty with Android I have ordered a Dell 8 pro Windows tablet with Windows 10 installed and it has a sim slot for 3g/4g. Before it arrives may I ask a question please? looking at the photo of the pad it shows a number of tiles something like on an android but there is also a photo of it with a desktop similar to my Windows laptop ie with icons on it!

It says in the manual I looked at online that there is a 'windows button' at the top ofthe tablet with a little 'window icon' beside it. If this is pressed will it take me directly to a Windows desktop like my laptop where I have docs, favourites, GMail and other icons I have placed there? Also will I be able to have this open everytime I boot up the tablet?
Thank you everyone once again

Sorry, moggie, I've never used a Windows tablet. I will be interested in your opinion of it and whether you do get a version of the pc desktop.
