What’S Penge Like?

We are thinking of moving to south London does anyone know what Penge is like? I know nothing about the area. Any advice please! Bramley.

I wouldn't advise anyone now to locate back towards the capital, it is often like living in a foreign country, not one i recognise all that much...

I started life in (Lennard Road) Penge. I don't remember it though because we moved out shortly afterwards to get away from the unpleasant nightly trek into the Air Raid Shelter.

that was some time ago now, can't say i know Penge, but going by some of our outer London places i'd stay well clear.

.Even the Germans thought it was the only place worth bombing if you moved elsewhere.

There was a better class of air raid shelter just up the road in Chislehurst Caves. Still there.
