I was a tad surprised as his dishes were so simple, and Martin had done such amazing final dishes, but I agree, I think he needed that win.

I thought the one who has been reported to have had cooking lessons would win.

But it probably backfired on him as he only knew how to cook what he'd been taught and didnt truly understand food.

I disagree Darcy...I think he did have an understanding of food. If he didn't, I'd doubt he'd have gotten as far as he did. Cooking to a strict time limit in front of the cameras isn't the same as under someone's guidance.

It was an excellent final and they all deserved to win in a way, it's hard to get simple extra good.
