Just a slip, it can't be a Freudian slip, because there is no such word as 'bulling'.

Amazing how some hang on to every word I put, and there are even some who will invent them even when I have never put them.
Just got in so joining late, if the child of this lady has suffered two extreme reactions requiring hospitalization it seems reasonable for them to be rebounded, ideally where the child would suffer minimal disruption. I think however it should also be a given that once an appropriate offer is made if it is turned down she should no longer be the council' s problem and should either pay market rent where she is or make her own new arrangements. It could well be the area around the tower is still effectively toxic.
Btw for years I lived in the next street to where a classmate burned to death and had to walk past the house every day on my way to junior school.I could still hear the screams when too afraid to jump she ran back into the fire. I know it's a lesser scale but no one who lived through it was offered any extra help.

You Brylcreem boys were never renowned for parade ground smartness.
Queens Colour Squadron excepted.
I spent many an hour 'bulling my boots' and they were knee high
Glad I wasn't in the Blues and Royals. :-)
Are cigars available in the gents only room?
You'll have to ask the Landlady ;-)
haha :D ayy ;)
AnTheOldGit. (No complaints, please, you chose it!)

Having a handle like yours and then threatening those (like me) who play games with it, is a bit like people who live in glasshouses giving out catapults and stones to all visitors, and then sending them a bill for the glass.

Why not change it as it seems to bother you?

I think 'playing' with user names helps to derail threads, and is disrespectful to the AB'er concerned, whomever they are.

I have made a serious fuss (about the only time I do!) when my name is reduced in order to deliberately upset me, so I think we should end that angle of the discussion, which goes no-where except towards oblivion - and return to the thread.
Andy Hughes:

Ok, I’ll stop, although not because of the force of your argument, which I still think spurious, but because getting banned would be a nuisance.

Parting point: if I renamed myself Fatoldidiot, could I REALLY complain if people ‘played’ with my name? And if I DID complain, would I get the special treatment apparently afforded to antheold?

Bill Bain or Brig or Bainbrig or anything else you like...

In that case why do you constantly refer to Retrocop as 'Retrocopy'?
Big brain?
It may be something to do with being huge and-shy, Naomi.
To be fair I can only find one example, Naomi.

Could just be a typo.
I've seen several. If I hadn't I wouldn't have mentioned it.
All there been pulled then, maybe?

Mmm. An example of AH calling AOG ‘Git’ here:
“But the difference is, my observations are entirely generic - whereas yours Git, are always always ad nauseum, personal against the individuals who have offended your sensibilities - and I am top of that list.”

The irony is delicious.
Thanks for that quote, Zacs (whoops, dodgy ground).

As I alluded to in my comment, what really puzzles me is why anotheoldgit is somehow sacrosanct, like The Name of God in some religions! Is he a major AB shareholder?
