Does this mean because I have Netflix but not Sky, I can now watch Sky as well via Netflix, or does it only work the other way round?

Sky's content is primarily transmitted via satellite, with some 'extras' being offered over the internet. Sky customers, with a Sky Q box, will in future be able to pay a joint subscription, which will serve up Netflix as one of those 'extras'.

However there are no plans to provide Sky's main content over the internet, so (irrespective of whether you've got Netflix or not) it would be impossible for you to receive Sky's programming without
(a) a satellite dish ;
(b) a Sky Q box ; and
(c) a relevant subscription.
