Has anyone made home made Tinga paste from scratch. I have googled but I want to make the paste seperately and not too ingredient demanding( i.e. simples) , I have a tin of chipotles and tomatoes etc. Any one provide the method please?
TIA

First I've heard of it (or at least recall doing so). https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/127628/mexican-tinga/ any use ?

Many thanks for your reply
I saw that recipe and a few others similar. They all amalgamate the ingredients together with the chicken.I wished to make it separate so I could use a batch and store the rest.
However I have bumbled around the kitchen mixing and stirring( bit like AB sometimes) and concocted ,what I think , is a reasonable representation of what it should taste like.
The memsahib is eaving me for two weeks to the colonies of the Americas and I thought a Mexican tray bake would make a good farewell, bon voyage meal. It ain't half hot Mum.
The ironic thing about this recipe is it comes from a batch of Tesco chicken recipes which says use a jar of Mexican Tinga which they no longer sell. :-)
Thanks again for your time.
Sounds nice. I'll be over for supper then.

You are most welcome.Alas it was cooked as a bon voyage meal for my dear memsahib yesterday evening. The chipotle chilli in it blew her socks off and she politely declined further helpings,
As I will be on my own for the next 17 days I have no fear of starving so there is loads in my freezer. Personally I thought it was blinding and different to any flavour I have experienced before. :-)
