Birthplace Of Francis Hopgood

Doing a competition and one question asks for the birthplace of Lieutenant Francis Hopgood. Have spent hours trying to find the answer including RAF records but unable to find the answer. I can find entries for him but not where he was born. Can anyone help me please.

The foreword has been written by Shere Fraser, daughter of Flt/Lt Hopgood's bomb-aimer John Fraser.

Flt-Lt Fraser named his daughter after the village where his friend was born. He named his two sons, John Hopgood Fraser and Guy Gibson Fraser.

i found a lieutenant francis hopgood, joined the royal flying corps 1918 who was shot down over Germany and taken prisoner and his googles are on a £1.55 stamp but that's all the info .
