Got a text from these scam scum and they are charging me £4.50 for the privilege of receiving them every week.

I was going to text stop to them as per their text but they are going to charge me to stop. Does anyone know how much it is to text them to stop scamming me?

Thanks

Sending a 'STOP' text will only cost you your normal charge for a regular text.

My texts are usually free but when I try to send a message comes up that it will charge me. I don’t want this company charging me the earth to stop them charging me.
Sending a 'STOP' text to a 'shortcode' number isn't included within your free allowance from GiffGaff but you shouldn't be charged by Gifvids.com. i.e. it will be GiffGaff that will charge for the text (probably only a few pence).

If in doubt though, follow the procedures outlined here:

That sounds terrible. If your mobile company is stealing your money to cover the cost to them of making voluntary money gifts to a company you didn't make any agreement with, (I assume that you didn't) then the mobile company should apologise profusely and return what they've taken. Meanwhile maybe get premium rate garbage taken off your account ?

Apparently it is a reverse call text and I never sign up for anything on the internet I am not specifically wanting.

I have sent stop to the number but if any more gets taken out I will be even more annoyed than I am now.
