Countersigning A Passport

Ive got the forms from post office and have also looked at doing form online which you can as long as you upload appropriate photos. But..... if I do it online I obviously can’t get it countersigned, but am not sure I even have to with the written form? I’ve read and re read it and am just confusing myself. I’m reneweing it 6 months early. Do I need to get it countersigned??

smow..I was stopped at customs in Germany after going short pixie dark from blonde long bob...what a trouble I had convincing them it was me...fortunately I was a frequent flyer , same flight every week , and cabin crew positively identified me , along with bank cards etc I got through....

Mrs F's passport has just been renewed - valid to May 2029 and includes the unexpired period from the old one. Looks like she did this just in time.
