Summer Is Over

The housemartins disappeared last night. The swifts went a few days ago now to wait for the first redwings to fly over. Time to plan a trip to a coast reserve for the winter waders. November is usually good,

have noticed a sparsity here too..the starlings are murmuring... used to go up to Blakeney when in Norfolk superb place for twitching...

Seal trip Boat from Morston to the point, get the next one back.
Btw it's murmurating but I know what you meant.
I will probably go to North Wales as I want to see some of our special places again

I love this time of year when the birds put on a spectacular display in the evenings. I'm lucky enough to live almost right on the beach so I get the full show.

lovely Clover...I liked to watch the wee sandpiper things and those that hop around scavenging on the shore.. something very peaceful about it all...Blakeney Point is a marvellous place to be on an Autumn day

I wonder if I can afford a short break in Norfolk .... I haven't been this year and I really missed it
