The housemartins disappeared last night. The swifts went a few days ago now to wait for the first redwings to fly over. Time to plan a trip to a coast reserve for the winter waders. November is usually good,

have noticed a sparsity here too..the starlings are murmuring... used to go up to Blakeney when in Norfolk superb place for twitching...

I will probably go to North Wales as I want to see some of our special places again
lol.they are certainly chattering ! ..seals off Blakeny are good to see too..bracing weather !
I love this time of year when the birds put on a spectacular display in the evenings. I'm lucky enough to live almost right on the beach so I get the full show.
lovely Clover...I liked to watch the wee sandpiper things and those that hop around scavenging on the shore.. something very peaceful about it all...Blakeney Point is a marvellous place to be on an Autumn day
