If a person went into a club where everyone was smoking drugs would he pass a drugs test the next day even if he himself had not had any? Our company is to bring in random drugs tests and just wondered if there was such a thing as passive smoking of hash ect.

are they entitled to do that? Do you not have to agree to it?
I doubt it would show up on a drugs test

Dot, on the railways, if you refuse a drink/drug test you are presumed guilty and sacked
well yes elvis i get that cos when you are responsible for a train it is not a good idea but I mean in normal jobs, like pen pushing and stuff, insurance and banking, why do they want to chacvk on their staff? are they allowed to introduce stuff like this/ look at the Olympic sportspeople who get done cos they had cough medicine, .
But i`ve got nothing to do with trains Dot, except to avoid getting hit by one,but the railway policy is Zero Tolerence

I can understand the fact that it`s a H&S issue if someone goes to work p!ssed or stoned, but the drugs test can trace back up to 6 months (so they say)...so if someone has a spliff whilst on holiday...and they test positive 3 months later, they can sack you for it
Where`s the fairness in that?, not that I smoke that sh!te anyway
