Well the kitchen fitters are coming to put in the new granite kitchen countertops on Friday.

When my cousin called last night - she said that the granite would be easily chipped etc. I only told her last night.

Anyway I know that can happen so would there be anything to "protect" the granite.

So you have a worktop made from a quartz compound, not granite.

You should have been given full care instructions.

HC - there is a guy coming on Monday - re the kitchen - I will ask him how to care for it.

I know that they were covering the old worktops with granite but I insisted on more sparkles so the assistant showed me the more sparkly one which is obviously the quartz and so they replaced the old countertops. The kitchen fitter did say just clean it with a mild detergent and a cloth. That'll do me.
I love mine. Great for pastry making.

I just clean with a kitchen spray. Im quite clumsy and i havent damaged it yet!

I won't be trying at pastry making BM - not a chance - I am a bit heavy handed but will learn - I won't be standing on it either.
