There seems to be some confusion on AB as to the term..."Slapper."
pastafreak has given us the dictionary which implies sexual promiscuity, but that is not my definition necessarily.

Sqad's definition:
A woman, mainly in her twenties or indeed may extend in to her 30's and less likely in her 40's who's dress is "suggestive, hair, mainly blonde but could be any colour, heavy on the make-up, cheap perfume plastered in tattoos.
Language, basic, nouveau riche or "cool" with a degree of commonness.....in the old days described as a "tart" which has now fallen into obscurity and replaced by some as "slapper."

I hope this has helped to clear up the ambiguity.

*Pasta goes off to have a think over what's been ****'d out...*
LOL!!!
Met a few 'slappers' and most were perfectly ok company and eminently preferable to the supposedly classy gels who were just as likely to be at it like rabbits but with less make up and a lot less honesty. Funny enough some of the poshest men from good families were the most vulgar and crass.
no it is white stilettos
and tights with marilyn monroe lips on them

Coleen nearly called it all off with Wayne Rooney when she read ( she can read you know ) about his stag in Liverpool with a grandma ( er and good time girl ) the owd slapper ....
We don't all wear a nice tea dress and Mary Jane's, doesn't make us lesser beings, I often find those who are most judgemental are the ones with no right to judge. The social climbers and those with delusions of class and sophistication.

// a promiscuous or vulgar woman.

Note....OR vulgar woman and vulgarity is not necessarily associated with multiple sexual indiscretions.//

so Sqad my dear doctor, ... your argument is that " a promiscuous or vulgar woman" excludes promiscuity

or that slapper means promiscuous and not promiscuous at the same time .....

{ er OK or Free-tee might say - righto! or Nigh quip - gobbledegook - or just about anyone else - - yeah den ! ]

A pity that Susie Dent isn't an Aber (or perhaps she is ????)

For those unaware - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susie_Dent
How very disappointing. I thought this was a personal message.
That would be fao slapper and I suspect a few others would answer first just for the fun of it
It's a shame that there are so many more names for promiscuous women than there are for men. Some things never change
Yeah we do have 'man-***','himbo', 'horndog', and about ten or twelve I can't get past the AB censor :) The problem is that society and the media don't utilise them in the same way they do slapper :/
I don't think it is anything to do with the media. It's a generational thing. You only have to look at the replies on here to see that
Yes there is that too, men are' a bit of lad' whilst women are sluts and other patriarchal shizzum.
E-mail to Suzi maybe? She would have her pursed lips on for the afternoon show over a word like that, she detests 'moist'.
