"The tories will only ever want to benefit their personal selfs and their own financial pocket. " - and Labour don't? right oh!
10ClarionSt , //You have just fallen for the tabloid whitewash.//

Labour voters have fallen, and are still falling, for the promise of an ideal that no longer exists – and hasn’t for a very long time.

The myth canary is on about is nothing to do with home ownership in the EU. He means the idea that the Tories are the party of hone ownership. I don’t know about that. The myth I’m on about is the airy assumption that the rest of the EU is inhabited by (by implication) second class citizens who rent
So Spath, the very first 'fact' from you wild claim post is that I thought I'd check is this: "In 2017 the average salary has rose to 19K"

It is in fact £27,271. I honestly cant be bothered to go further but I suspect the whole lot is rubbish, mainly because I know the 1980 stuff is without looking certainly where I was.

Added to that you have missed out that lenders only lent 2.5 times joint max, many less. In addition Buildo's had set amounts each month and these were booked out well in advance.

And of course 'average' is pointless due to major discrepancies between North and the SE.

But then you know better as you weren't there.
If that dispute had run it's true course, you would be much better off now and Thatcher would never have ruined industry in this country. Her methods were no more radical than would have happened as a result of that dispute. How anyone can condone deliberately bringing hardship on millions of people, like Thatcher did, is beyond me. In any other country she would have been labelled a tyrant and traitor. She have been publicly hanged in Parliament Square.
