Hi could anyone help, my niece is about to start university and will have to travel by train Bebington to Chester she is getting conflicting advice ...Funds are short

The single fare (by rail) is £5.50 at any time.

The return fare is only slightly dearer at £5.80.

A 16-25 Railcard doesn't help much because it doesn't become valid until after 1000 (when those fares drop to £3.65 and £3.85 respectively).

A 7-day season ticket costs £26.10
A 1-month season ticket costs £100.30
A 3-month season ticket costs £300.70
A 6-month season ticket costs £601.40
An annual season ticket costs £1044.00

The Traveline website finds no suitable buses,
At a thousand a year wouldnt a moped be a viable option.
Correction:
There is a direct bus but it takes 1h 18m.
