Not sure I see anyone in the Republican Party who'll challenge Trump. A few candidates for future presidencies, eg Marco Rubio, but I suspect that he'll take time to lick his wounds from the 2016 run before trying again.

On the Democrat side there are two or three worth a decent shout, such as Joe Biden. But it's rather too early to say.
> He will run for a second term, win it and leave office aged 78.

My answer was based on the thinking ... if it's any other way then I'm happy and if not then at least I have the dubious pleasure of being right.
Based on the last 25 years or so, when the American People find an even worse candidate.
With a big fat lie .
Some useful background reading from The Economist ...

The rust belt love him, the rednecks love him, it seems he is far more popular at home. I think he will get a second term and unless he has to resign for health reasons he will see it out. It appears he is like a Teflon toilet
Soon?
Whatever the reason / who ever responsible , the person is bullet proof .
Probably after his second term ...
Implied, ael, implied.
"Hey Melania, what's this weird stuff smeared on the shower door handle?"
// Are you looking for a psychic?// or mystic meg

It will end well - or perhaps badly .... ( audience ooooooo!)

fixed term so they cant boot him out early - - - oooooo - -oops yes they can. There are a decent section of the population (pun intended) who think when he puts his hand up some woman's pantie crutch - 'so what he's the president'

Especially when a few say - I didnt like it especially when I am paid $140,000 to say I said 'starp' when I didnt .....

Clinton was re elected ... and for Clinton, impeachment was a political act and they said half way thro
o lets have a vote anyway on the show so far
and there was nothing like a 67% majority
so they all went home for an early shower and Clinton was re elected
"...and the sooner the better."

Tell us why you wish that, then, gulliver. Or is it just that lots of people dislike him so you thought you'd join them?
I have moved this thread into the category "Current Affairs".
;-D
Like it started, badly.
Wouldn't "politics" be a more suitable sub category?
No doubt he has had many affairs but is this question "current"
