How drastically draconian of the liberal-minded Swiss!

Good to see they’re not bending to the right-on fascists, eh?

it used to be bad manners in the UK for a man to offer his hand to a woman for a handshake. It was the woman's decision on whether to shake hands or not.
True. You do not proffer your hand to the Queen unless she proffers hers.
Ah yes, Switzerland - what have they ever achieved?
its customary and shows warmth and welcome, its a nice gesture
It seems to me there are people who will argue until they're blue in the face for equality, well...unless religion is involved.

btw.
I posted a link to this on AOG's thread...do pay attention.
-Talbot-, religion trumps all host countries customs, so it seems
plus i guess touching a womans hand must mean you want to have sex with her, in some quarters, i think it just widens that divide, it makes men to be seen as possible sex mad perverts..reminds of victorian table cloths having to cover table legs...
Switzerland's citizen test, their right to refuse, no argument.

A good way of letting muslims know that switzerland has had enough of them and doesnt want more...its already got an african problem, whole towns taken over...switzerland will be ruined and lose its identity if it keeps on the the way it has been, same as the uk and everywhere else these people go for a free ride....
what's that film goodgoalie? A young Orson Cart!
He wasn't that young, Tora: 34
ok what was the film?
The Third Man.
Written at the top of the still image in my post: The Third Man
Very popular in its day.

Superb film made great by the zither music played by Anton Karas. Karas was playing background music in a wine cellar in Vienna when Carol Reed (the film's director) came in. Reed was searching locations for his film and when he heard Karas playing, invited him to write the music for the film. He protested that he had never written music before but came to London at Reed's invitation where he wrote the Harry Lime theme.
Talking of zithers, anyone remember Shirley Abicair?
Certainly do. Australian, wasn't she?
Yes, 90 years old now.
Yorkshire folk speak about it all the time, "Ah'll zither!"
