Her older sister Erma Franklin was also a great singer. Both learned to sing at their local Gospel Church as children.

What people who haven't seen her live might not know is how good a mimic she is, she did about 20 minute doing impressions of other female singers. Her Gladys knight was great, her Ella ok. But her Dionne Warwick was hilarious and very very good

I thought so. One of the girls I went to school with was born the day Elvis died. She herself died at the age of 21. Very sad.

didn't like most of her music but what a great voice....shame..as she was a gamechanger in the States and in so many ways. Bet Trump doesn't say that much after O'Bama has done so.
