I thought it was rather weird, and I’m not sure what compelled me to watch it each week.

I’ve just ordered the DVD of the original film to see if I can “get it.”

Coincidentally I just caught the last five minutes of it last night.
It's a well known book. Sort of wish I'd seen the serial. But finding time for catch-up might be different. Maybe next time it's screened on TV.

Definitely weird, Bigbad, and I wondered why I also watched it every week! It was never clear to me what exactly happened in "Mrs. Appleyard's" younger days. I've never been a fan of flashbacks but this one really took the prize.
