I recently visited the Grande Arche de la Defense in Paris, where I witnesed an art display like nothing I'd seen before by someone called Dominic or Dominique. Each painting was a slighlty abstract portrait of a celebrity witha white dot at its centre. Upon staring at this dot for thirty or so seconds, a perfect colour picture of the celebrity appeared when staring at a blank surface. This involved no special skill like 'magic eyes' of the mid 90s and was truly amazing. Does anybody know what this type of art is called? And any other artists who do the same thing and where perhaps I could purchase such a painting? Thanks.
