In this programme I thought I heard Adam say that Christmas was celebrated by Christians by means of burying chocolate eggs in the garden. I know he is from Australia but surely they are not that far gone? Or did I mishear?

He actually said that the death of jesus was celebrated by Christians by the burying of chocolate eggs in the garden.

I didn't see the programme but it appears that he was simply mixing up the two main Christian festivals of Christmas and Easter.
Erm......it’s a comedy programme.
If he did say it I'd assume he was deliberately mixing them up as a joke to highlight that he's not too bothered about by all that christian stuff

A minor correction, it used to be a comedy programme until somebody told Mr Hills he needed a more hectoring activist vibe.
Thanks Rockrose. Dance2trance must have misheard

Exactly why I have stopped watching, douglas.
lol...I knew I had typed douglas already...couldn't find it though, so typed it again.
I've never watched douglas.
I’ve never watched Douglas either. Despite the restraining order to the contrary.
Quite an amusing programme, I like it .

You are aware that Jesus is not dead? He rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven. So says the New Testament. Of course it is an amusing myth. I mean what did Christians do before the birth of Cadbury? I need to know!
What I like about Adam is the number of times he bangs the table with his biro to emphasise a point. It is hundreds. Despite producers best attempts to hide it by putting ornaments in the way!!
Thanks everyone but off now to M&S to buy some hot cross buns as it is nearly Christmas already.
I do bear watching (not watching bears) if there are things like sausage rolls or beer around, otherwise harmless.
