False

A quote from Emily Giffin, I think there is an element of truth there tbh.
That was my Mother's constant phrase, due to our relationship I felt it almost a lecture sadly - I don't think it's true.
False imo.
My granny used to say that.
I think it's generally true. I'm close to my son still, but since he met his now wife I don't hear from him as much or spend as much time with him.
I don't have a daughter so can't really compare.
Clearly false, except when it's true.
Disagree. Both my sons are as close to me as ever. We do a lot together and even think on my youngest son as the daughter I never had.
So; the daughter didn't get a wife ?
All of my brothers and sisters seem equally close to my Mum barring for physical distance obviously so I really don't know.
I think there's truth in that....
a son is also a son when between wives, it seems.
Nothing but nothing defeats the ***. Quote till you're blue in the gills, sex wins, get over it.

^Pardon?
Not true of my husband. He's exceptionally close to his parents. We visit every Friday and he speaks to one or both of them every single day. They live in the next Street - but that's scheduled to change shortly.

He's close to all his family, with the exception of his younger brother from whom he is now estranged.
In this day and age it could possibly be
"A son is a son until he decides otherwise".
" A daughter is a daughter until she gets a wife".
True to a certain degree. I get on very well with my sons but my oldest seems to get adopted by his current GF's parents. He lives at home but spends most of his time at their house. I find the boys are not chatty like my daughter. A phone call between us would be for a purpose whereas my daughter rings me everyday without fail just for a chat.

She rings her brothers as well but my older son told me to tell her to stop ringing because she talks about things like the weather and he's like 'I'm on a roof, stop ringing me'

They love each other really :-)

My kids are so different. They look similar but that's as far as it goes.
