We are off to Majorca on Saturday morning, we thought we might put an order in for Morrisons to deliver when we get home in a fortnight, do they take the money straight away or when it is delivered ?

Answer got truncated : Earmarked/Pending transactions will reduce your 'Available Balance' and you won't be able to use that money - even though the final charge is not processed until delivery has been made.

You pay for the order online when your order is completed.

But does the money come out of the bank straight away, when you put order in , or when it has been delivered.
With Asda it comes out on the day of your delivery.
Tesco also take the money on day of delivery.

Long time since I used Morrisons.
They actually 'earmark' the payment (reserve it on your account) immediately, but don't actually charge your credit/debit card until the delivery has been made.

This is fine if you have plenty of money available in your account (or headroom on your credit card) - but can leave you short of ready cash if you were not expecting to pay until delivery.
I have never had a Morrisons delivery so really, I should not have answered the question. Sorry.
